Qualifying Conditions In Hawaii For 329 Medical Marijuana Card
Patients in Hawaii diagnosed with one of the following severe, debilitating, or life-threatening medical conditions, are afforded legal protection under the Hawaii Medical Marijuana law, as per Senate Bill 862:
Cancer
Glaucoma
HIV/AIDS (Positive Status)
Rheumatoid Arthritis (added effective June 29, 2017 as per Act 041, SHL 2017)
Epilepsy (added effective June 29, 2017 as per Act 041, SHL 2017)
Crohn’s Disease
Lupus (added effective June 29, 2017 as per Act 041, SHL 2017)
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) (added effective December 19, 2017 as per the petition process)
A chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or its treatment that produces one or more of the following:
Cachexia or wasting syndrome;
Severe pain;
Severe nausea;
Seizures, including those characteristic of epilepsy; or
Severe and persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis or Crohn’s disease; or
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) (added effective June 29, 2017 as per Act 041, SHL 2017)
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) (added effective June 29, 2017 as per Act 041, SHL 2017)
Hawaii Medical Marijuana Program
You must have a valid ID card (Driver’s License, State ID or Passport).
If you have them, bring your medical records with you to your marijuana evaluation appointment.
Be diagnosed with a Qualifying Condition during your doctor appoiontment.
A registration certificate will be mailed to you, known as a medical marijuana identification card, from the Hawaii Department of Health Medical Cannabis Registry Program.
